The Krasnodar Region Ranks Fifth among the Regions of the Russian Federation By the Volume of Own Revenues

The pace of economic development in the region was discussed on the regional teleconference held by the governor Alexander Tkachev.

Following the results of the first nine months of 2014 by the volume of own revenues, the Krasnodar region has risen to fifth place in the country. GRP increased by 1.6%. This is twice the nationwide figure, which is 0.8%. The situation with the receipt of income tax develops optimistic this year – an increase over the region was 22.5%, while in Russia it is 16.1%, – the press service of the Head of the Administration (governor) of the Krasnodar Region reports.

– These results of the regional economy are magnitude greater the forecasts, which we did for the current year. We generally set themselves the task to elementary prevent the reduction of economic indicators to the level of 2013, – said Alexander Tkachev. – And the picture that we have today is a real victory. There is a growth in almost all sectors of the region.

For example, the resort and tourist complex showed a growth of 26.5%, industrial production – 2.9%, and agriculture – 8%. But we must not relax, – the Head of the region said. Dollar and the euro rate as well as sanctions can change the overall picture.

– So we must make every effort in Kuban to keep the existing GRP growth and avoid recession. If we cope with this task, we ensure the growth of the Kuban economy in the next two or three years as well, at least 5% annually. That means we ensure the welfare of the Kuban people, – Alexander Tkachev said.
